Then I found a post which says to switch your profile to UK. This is eliminating lag and rubber banding for most people it seems. It has something to do with the data centers in the UK being in better shape than our 1960's surplus Est german Internet equipment in the US. Try out this link for instructions. I'm going to try it tonight and see what happens.
